Android Features You Won’t Find On iPhones

After all these updates, there is still something exclusive on Android, but what is it? We are here to share 9 unique Android features that the iPhone lacks.

1. Access To Internal Storage Over USB

When connected to a computer with a USB cable, an iPhone may allow you to take transfer photos and videos. On the other hand, Android phones can have full access to internal storage, allowing them to share every file on their desktops. With the USB cable, you can connect your Android phone to Android Auto or any supported vehicle to use various apps and navigation. Also using the USB Tethering option your phone can share an internet connection with the PC.

2. Create Multiple Users And Guest Account

Multiple users and guest mode still bless Android users for their family and friends. It was introduced with Android 5.0 on Android devices while Apple has completely ignored this feature.

The features allow you to maintain privacy if you have kids and friends using your phone. You can log in to another user’s guest account and hand over the device. Users can have their separate password data and app.

But you can’t invade privacy as this multiple use of features also has the option to customize calls and SMS settings. You can choose to allow calls via SMS notification for other uses. Also, you can install the print apps directly from other uses instead of downloading them again.

    3. Install Custom ROMs And Gain Root Access

Custom ROMs are modified versions of Android OS that offer better functionality with the customization option. It is the most extended life of your Android phone by providing access to the latest software. The closest thing that the iPhone has been rooting to is jailbreaking; though that is harder to do and provides a different level of access than Android, they are working.

    4. Fully Customize The Home Screen

Android users mostly love this feature. The home screen customization option has always been limited to iPhones, whereas Android can have plenty of changes for the home screen. With iOS 14 Apple has introduced some features like App library and some home screen widgets, but they still need to be added to the features of changing icon packs to using different launchers which Android can do easily.

Android has come up with other things, and some Android phones can even install theme apps that allow users to apply system-wise and change fonts. With the home screen setting, you can change the grip size, hide app icons, and show notification counts on the app icons.

    5. Change The Default System Apps

For default apps, you can personalize much on the iPhone after the iOS 14 update; the iPhone can switch to the default app, but only for the email and browser apps. And Android phones offer a lot more.

You can even change all the default apps like phone messages, digital assistant and Home app to any third-party app with better and more features where access to third-party apps is not allowed on iPhones.

    6. Using Multiple Copies Of An App

Android phones allow you to clone apps and use multiple accounts.  So, if you want to use two WhatsApp accounts on a similar phone, you can create a clone app and use the other account. Android phone manufacturers like Samsung and OnePlus, which have included this feature in the software, can also download it. The third-party apps from the Play Store if your Android phone doesn’t come with the service pre-loaded.

    7. Multitask Via Split Screen View

Android offers plenty of features to multitask on your phone. One such feature is the split screen view. As the name suggests, it is a split display with a simultaneous running app.

Split screen view makes the most sense on the large screen display especially foldable phones such as the Galaxy Fold 6 which allows using up to 3 apps simultaneously in split screen mode. You can also add a 4th app in a pop-up and master multi-tasking where, with an iPhone, we are still waiting for this feature.

    8. Move Files To External Storage

If you are talking about the external storage then the iPhone doesn’t come up with it. Portion you to get how much storage your phone has and potential getting it wrong. Some Android phones even have an SD card slot for external storage to keep your free space.

SD cards also make transferring the file from one phone to another easier. However, you might have to buy an Android point of the SD card for the mid-range one since many flagship Android phones don’t have this option.

    9. Change System Font Style And Size

One of the most amazing things about Android phones is that they allow you to customize the UI and make it look exactly the way you want. One such customization can be performed on Samsung and some other Android phones but not on the iPhone, which is changing the system font.

Even if you don’t like any of the pre-installed system fonts available on your phone you can always download third-party apps from the Google Play Store on your Android phone.

    Conclusion

Android is a powerful operating system backed by a vast community of developers who are continuously working to improve its stability, performance, and features. They have looked up some unique features on Android phones. Whereas the iPhone is still catching up with the same.
