Redmi has expanded its Note 17 lineup in India with two new smartphones. The Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max bring large AMOLED displays, Snapdragon chipsets and some of the biggest batteries seen on Redmi phones. The Pro Max stands out with a massive 10,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro, meanwhile, packs a 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging. Both models feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and run Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The company has also promised four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. It has a 1280×2772-pixel resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and 12-bit colour depth. It also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour coverage.
For touch response, the display supports up to 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling. Redmi has also included Wet Touch 2.0, which should make the screen more responsive when used with wet fingers.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max gets a dual-camera setup at the back. It includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.5 aperture and optical image stabilisation, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The front houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps. This makes the Pro Max a more capable option for users who regularly shoot videos.
