CMF has launched its latest true wireless stereo earbuds in India. The new CMF Buds Neo come with 12.4mm dynamic drivers, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation and a claimed battery life of up to 52 hours with the charging case. The earbuds are aimed at users who want a feature-packed audio experience without spending too much.
The CMF Buds Neo also bring four microphones for clearer calls, spatial audio, customisable EQ settings and dual-device connectivity. There is also a low-latency mode for gaming. The earbuds work with the Nothing X app, which gives users more control over sound and touch functions. They will be available in three colour options and will go on sale later this month.

The CMF Buds Neo are equipped with 12.4mm dynamic drivers. The drivers use a titanium-coated PET dome along with a PEEK + PU surround. CMF says the setup is designed to deliver a wide sound range. The earbuds support a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response. They also support AAC and SBC audio codecs.
Users get six EQ presets through the Nothing X app. These include Immersion Boost, Pop, Rock, Electronic, Enhance Vocals and Classical. There is also an option to create a custom EQ profile based on personal preferences. Bass Enhancement can also be adjusted through the app. This gives users more flexibility when switching between music genres or different types of content.
Up To 35dB Adaptive ANC
Noise cancellation is another key feature of the CMF Buds Neo. The earbuds offer up to 35dB Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation. There are three noise cancellation levels. The earbuds can adjust the level of noise reduction based on the surroundings. For calls, the CMF Buds Neo use four HD microphones. There are two microphones on each earbud. These work with Clear Voice Technology to improve voice clarity during calls.
The earbuds also support Transparency Mode. Users can switch between noise cancellation and transparency modes using the touch controls.
Spatial Audio And Low-Latency Gaming Mode
CMF has also included static spatial audio. This is designed to create a more immersive listening experience when watching compatible content or listening to music. Gamers get a dedicated 120ms Low Latency Mode. The feature is intended to reduce the delay between the action on the screen and the audio output.
The earbuds also support dual-device connectivity. This allows users to connect the CMF Buds Neo with two devices. Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair are also supported. The earbuds use Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless connectivity.
Battery Life And Fast Charging
Battery life is another strong point of the CMF Buds Neo. Each earbud packs a 45mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 460mAh battery. With ANC turned off, the earbuds are rated to deliver up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge. With the charging case, the total playback time goes up to 52 hours.
When ANC is enabled, the combined music playback time is rated at up to 30 hours. For calls, each earbud can provide up to five hours of talk time with ANC turned off. The combined call time with the case is rated at up to 25 hours. The earbuds support USB Type-C charging. A 10-minute charge can provide up to 5.5 hours of playback. A full charge takes around 70 minutes.
Customisable Touch Controls
The CMF Buds Neo feature touch controls that can be customised through the Nothing X app. A double tap can be used to skip to the next track or reject a call. Triple tapping skips to the previous track. Users can also press and hold the touch area to switch between Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes. Volume adjustment can also be controlled through the touch interface.
Holding both earbuds for five seconds activates pairing mode. This level of customisation means users can configure the controls according to their preferred usage.
IP54 Rating And Dual-Tone Design
The earbuds have an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water exposure. The charging case carries an IPX2 rating. The case measures 54.3mm x 54.3mm x 23mm and weighs 50.3g. It gets a square-shaped design with a dual-tone finish. The case also features a circular tactile dial and a built-in lanyard hole. The overall design continues CMF’s focus on distinctive styling rather than a completely conventional TWS design.
