Apple’s ‘Surprise and Shine’ event brought its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone 18 Pro series, Apple Watch Series 12, Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5. Here is everything Apple announced, including India prices and key specifications.
Apple has finally made its move into the foldable smartphone market. At its September 9 event, the company unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone. But that was not the only major announcement.
Apple also launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, along with the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5. The event also revealed the India prices and availability details for the new lineup.
iPhone Duo Is Apple’s First Foldable iPhone

The iPhone Duo was the biggest announcement of the evening. Apple has opted for a book-style design that folds down to roughly the size of a passport. When opened, it features a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR inner display. There is also a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR cover display on the outside.
Apple says both displays maintain the same aspect ratio. This allows apps and content to transition naturally between the two screens. The inner display also gets an under-display FaceTime camera, keeping the panel free from a notch or cutout.
The foldable uses a titanium base, carbon-fibre support plates and a precision hinge with more than 100 components. Apple has also used a custom Nano Texture finish to reduce reflections and make the crease less noticeable. The device gets IP68 protection, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the rear.
The iPhone Duo is powered by the 2nm A20 Pro chip and Apple’s C2 cellular modem. It has a dual-cell battery system and is eSIM-only worldwide. Apple claims up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours using the outer screen.
For photography, there is a 48MP Fusion main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. The cover display gets a 12MP Centre Stage camera.
The iPhone Duo starts at Rs. 2,99,900 in India for the 256GB model. It is also available in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions. The colour options are Star White and Night Sky. Pre-orders begin October 16, while sales start October 23.
iPhone 18 Pro And iPhone 18 Pro Max

Apple also introduced its new flagship smartphones. The iPhone 18 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max gets a 6.9-inch panel. Both models are powered by the A20 Pro chipset and run iOS 27.
The camera setup consists of three 48MP rear cameras. The system includes the main camera, ultra-wide camera and telephoto camera. The iPhone 18 Pro series also brings variable aperture technology to the main camera. Both models are available with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. The colour choices include Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy.

The Apple Watch Series 12 arrives with the S11 chip and a redesigned health sensor system. Apple has increased the size of key sensor components to improve health tracking.
One of the major additions is the Readiness score. It uses activity, training and health data to indicate whether the user should recover, pace themselves or push ahead with their workout.
The watch also introduces Health Age tracking and new Audio Intelligence features. Siri AI is another part of the new watchOS 27 experience.
The aluminium models also get Ceramic Shield for improved durability. The Series 12 starts at Rs. 56,900 in India and will go on sale September 18.
