Sony is celebrating 30 years of PlayStation with a special 30th Anniversary Collection. This collection includes PS5 consoles, DualSense controllers, and PlayStation Portal, all featuring new designs inspired by the early PlayStation era.
Sony PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection
Both the PS5 Pro and PS5 Digital Edition come in a dark and light grey color scheme, similar to the original PlayStation from 1994. The collection will be available in limited quantities, with pre-orders starting on September 26.
PlayStation 5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Console Bundle
This 30th anniversary here are all the devices that were added to the collection:
- The PS5 Pro bundle includes the newly announced PlayStation 5 Pro in the 30th Anniversary design with a grey color and the original PlayStation logo.
- The bundle will also come with a limited-edition DualSense controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, charging station, and a console cover for a disc drive. (The disc drive is sold separately.)
- All the other accessories include a vertical stand, controller-style cable connector housing, four cable ties in PlayStation shapes, a PlayStation sticker, and a limited-edition poster (1 of 30 designs).
- PlayStation Paperclip is also there in the bundle.
- Sony will only be selling 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle.
- A limited-edition number will be etched onto each console.
- The second bundle will feature a PS5 Slim Digital Edition in the new design, a matching limited edition DualSense wireless controller, and a Console Cover for a Disc Drive.
- This bundle also includes all the other limited-edition accessories that are found in the PS5 Pro bundle.
- Players can also buy standalone 30th Anniversary Limited Edition items like the PlayStation Portal remote player, DualSense Edge wireless controller, and the standard DualSense controller.
All these accessories will come in a throwback grey design just to celebrate the anniversary.
Release Date And Pre-order
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection is set to launch on November 21. Pre-orders for these limited editions will start on September 26 in regions where direct.playstation.com is available. These regions include the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Austria. In areas where it is not available, pre-orders can be made through selected retailers on the same date. If you want to make the pre-orders through participating retailers, then it will begin on October 10.
Sony has not yet disclosed the prices for the items in the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection.
