Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26+ at its Galaxy Unpacked event in California. These are the core flagships of the lineup. And this year, Samsung is betting big on its in-house silicon.
Both phones run on the new 2nm Exynos 2600 chip. They ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.5. They also bring Galaxy AI features, improved cooling, and a familiar triple-camera setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. The Galaxy S26 Ultra grabbed headlines. But the S26 and S26+ will likely be the real volume drivers in India. Here’s everything you need to know.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Display And Design

The Samsung Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The resolution is 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. It supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. It offers a sharper 1,440 x 3,120 pixels resolution and also supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
Both displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2. In terms of build, the Galaxy S26 measures 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm and weighs just 167 grams. The S26+ measures 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm and weighs 190 grams. Both feel slim and premium in hand.

This is where the real story begins. Both the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are powered by Samsung’s in-house 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset. It features a prime core clocked at 3.9GHz. Samsung claims significant efficiency gains thanks to the 2nm process.
The vapour chamber has been repositioned to the edges of the chip. Samsung says this improves heat dissipation by 29 percent. That should help during gaming and heavy multitasking.
Both phones come with 12GB RAM as standard. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB.
On the software front, they run Android 16 with One UI 8.5 on top. Samsung continues to expand Galaxy AI features focused on productivity and daily assistance.
