Motorola has officially stepped into the ultra-premium smartphone segment in India with the launch of the Motorola Signature. Unveiled at an event in Mumbai, the new handset is positioned as a statement device that blends raw performance, premium design, and top-tier features. With a flagship Snapdragon chipset, a triple 50-megapixel camera system, and a focus on durability and battery life, Motorola is clearly targeting power users and premium buyers.
The Motorola Signature is not just about specs. The brand is also offering access to Signature Club, a live agent lifestyle support service, along with Moto Elite Care. This adds a service-led layer to the overall ownership experience, something that premium buyers often look for.
Software Experience And Interface

The Motorola Signature runs on Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI layered on top. The interface stays close to stock Android, which has long been one of Motorola’s strongest selling points. Animations feel smooth, the UI remains clutter-free, and the experience is focused on speed and simplicity.
Hello UI brings useful enhancements without overloading the system. Combined with Android 16, users get better privacy controls, smarter background app management, and improved performance tuning. The software experience feels refined and well-suited for a flagship device.
Display And Design Highlights

The Motorola Signature features a large 6.8-inch LTPO Extreme AMOLED display with a Super HD resolution of 1,264 x 2,780 pixels. The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 165Hz, making scrolling, gaming, and animations feel extremely fluid.
Brightness is another standout area. The display can reach up to 6,200 nits at peak levels, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility. It covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content. With a pixel density of 450 ppi and a 20:9 aspect ratio, visuals look sharp and immersive.
A unique addition is Smart Water Touch, which allows the phone to remain responsive even when the screen or fingers are wet. The display is also certified for SGS Blue Light Reduction and Motion Blur Reduction, reducing eye strain during extended usage.
In terms of build, the phone features an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification. The back panel comes in linen-inspired and twill-inspired finishes, depending on the colour variant.
Performance And Internal Hardware
Under the hood, the Motorola Signature is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Built on a 3nm process, the processor is designed to deliver high-end performance while maintaining efficiency. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
This hardware combination makes the phone more than capable of handling intensive gaming, heavy multitasking, and demanding applications. Thermal management and sustained performance are expected to be strong, especially given Motorola’s focus on premium hardware tuning.
Camera Capabilities

Camera performance is another major highlight of the Motorola Signature. The phone features a triple rear camera setup, all using 50-megapixel sensors.
The primary camera is a 50-megapixel Sony LYT 828 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilisation. It is designed to capture sharp photos with strong low-light performance. The second camera is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an f/2.0 aperture, ideal for landscapes and group shots.
The third camera is a 50-megapixel Sony LYT 600 periscope telephoto lens. It supports 3x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom, along with OIS. This gives users greater flexibility while shooting portraits and distant subjects.
On the front, the Motorola Signature houses a 50-megapixel Sony LYT 500 selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. For video enthusiasts, the phone supports video recording up to 8K at 30fps.
Battery Life And Charging
The Motorola Signature packs a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery. Motorola claims that the phone can deliver up to 41 hours of battery life under mixed usage conditions.
Charging speeds are impressive. The phone supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. It also includes 10W wireless reverse charging and 5W wired reverse charging, making it useful for topping up accessories or other devices.
Connectivity And Sensors
Connectivity options on the Motorola Signature include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a USB Type-C port. It also supports GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo for accurate navigation.
The phone comes equipped with all essential sensors, including a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and e-compass.
