The wait is finally over, as the Nothing Phone 3 has just launched in India, marking a significant milestone for the company. Two years since their last major release, Nothing is back with what they are calling their first true flagship smartphone. This is not just another incremental update; it is a reimagining of what the Nothing Phone can be.
Nothing Phone 3 Design

Nothing has always been known for doing things differently, and Nothing Phone 3 continues the same. The company has completely redesigned the rear panel, moving away from the familiar layouts we’ve seen before. The most noticeable change is the camera placement, which breaks conventional smartphone design rules.
The real show is the Nothing Glyph matrix. This is not your typical LED notification light setup. We are talking about 489 individually firing LEDs that create patterns at the back of the phone. Each LED works independently, creating a light show that is both functional and eye-catching.
The rear panel also includes some practical additions. There is a new Glyph button for quick actions, a recording light that lets people know when you are filming, and something called the Essential Key for enhanced functionality.
Nothing Phone 3 Display
Nothing has paid serious attention to the screen experience for users with the phone. The 6.67-inch, flexible AMOLED display comes with an ultra-slim bezel that measures just 1.87mm on all sides. This creates an almost edge-to-edge viewing experience that feels modern and premium as well.
The screen has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which means smooth scrolling and responsiveness. But what makes it more interesting is that the screen can display up to 4500 nits of peak brightness. Considering that this is brighter than most flagships presently on the market, outdoor viewing is superb, even in direct sunlight.
Nothing Phone 3 Camera

Camera lovers will appreciate the thought that Nothing has put into the camera system. Phone 3 features a triple rear setup, with each lens serving a specific purpose.
The main camera uses a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilisation, ensuring sharp photos even in challenging conditions. The telephoto camera, also 50MP with OIS, handles zoom photography with impressive clarity. The ultrawide camera rounds out the setup with another 50MP sensor, perfect for landscape shots and group photos.
The front camera has a 50MP sensor that provides good quality selfies and video calling. This 50MP uniformity across all cameras perhaps indicates that Nothing wants to retain image quality when using any given lens.

Nothing has provided the Nothing Phone 3 with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor under the hood. This chip is manufactured using the 4nm process of TSMC, which, as the rule of thumb implies, offers better performance characteristics and power consumption with respect to the latest technologies.
This processor has an 8-core processing unit that reaches up to 3.21 GHz and has an onboard Qualcomm Adreno 825 that supports graphics. They also have a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, which is made to tackle AI-related tasks.
This hardware combination should handle everything from daily tasks to demanding gaming and multitasking without breaking a sweat.
Nothing Phone 3 Battery
Nothing has equipped the Phone 3 with a 5500mAh silicon carbon battery. This battery technology is relatively new and offers better energy density, meaning more power in a smaller package. The phone supports 65W fast charging, which should get you back to full power relatively quickly.
Nothing Phone 3 Software And Future Updates

Phone 3 is powered by Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15. This earns you access to the best Android functionality and at the same time keeps its distinctive design, philosophy, and customisation core of Nothing.
Looking ahead, OS 4.0, based on Android 16, is scheduled to be released in Q3 2025, but has not been announced yet. This strategy proves that the company is devoted to delivering new software features.
The software includes new features like Essential Space and Essential Search. Though Nothing has not yet revealed all the details about what these features do.
